In the last five years my company has gone through a different kind of journey. Digital is one pillar of our work. The focus on IT is very deep in Maruti. The department was set up way back in 1993. Digital innovation has been the core of my agenda. We must realise that our customers are aware, connected and unique. We have used our infrastructure to build a digital experience for them in our showrooms and that is controlled by a central monitoring system. One of my mantras for digital transformation is to innovate a lot, fail fast, fail often and fail early. Also, digital changes must all be customer-centric.
