Cost Optimisation in the age of Digital Business

We have heard of Tesla, that was born in the digital world. On the other hand, there is Volkswagen that has existing customers to serve and at the same time find money to invest in new technology cars that are coming up. That is the same challenge we must face as CIOs wearing a marketing hat. How do we utilise the internal saving to actually invest in transformations? What we have to do in digital transformation is while we use cloud or machine learning, we should be able to optimise our HR function, finance function and our ability to acquire customers. All of these pieces are very critical and this is not just the responsibility of the CIO but of all other employees of the organisations.
