Goodricke Group Ltd had been one of the first among Tea majors to implement ERP back in 2010.Apart from the general benefits of ERP it came as a saviour during pandemic. In 2019 we decided to have a centralised database for our depots and tea gardens. Fortunately, we had consolidated our databases before the pandemic and lockdown and all we needed to do was provide access to the database. We realised that with good connectivity and a partner willing to share data, we can create any application through API integration. This has accelerated our digital drive and we have been able to implement paperless processes in various areas. Going forward, introducing IoT in our production processes can help to monitor the quality of the tea.
